OutRight Action International report that Egypt & Russia are trying to get LGBT protections removed from the “Olympics Truce Resolution” before signing. The accord commits member nations to observe peace and uphold human rights laws during the Olympics games.

The U.S. Senate approved a resolution yesterday condemning the persecution of LGBT people in Chechnya. The Human Rights Campaign said, “With unanimous passage of this resolution, the U.S. Senate just sent a powerful message.”

Actor Andy Dick has been fired from two films in the same week, over accusations of sexual harassment and misconduct. Sources say Dick was accused of groping, licking and propositioning members of the crew.

Hong Kong’s government have snubbed the team who won the bid to host the 2022 Gay Games in the city. Chief Executive Carrie Lam, said she’d ‘noted’ the news, but failed to congratulate the games committee.
