Jeffrey Neal has been sentenced to 60 years jail for bludgeoning his two roommates to death in Washington DC. Neal was convicted of killing his friends with a hammer after their love triangle began to break up.

After months of negotiation, talks have broken down between Sinn Fein and the Democratic Unionist Party to create a coalition government for Northern Ireland. Marriage equality is a key issue, with the region being the last part of the UK not to have it.

Activists have criticised the Hong Kong government for appealing a court ruling which allows a British woman to live & work in the city under a ‘dependent visa’ with her wife. The court said immigration officials had not justified their discrimination based on her sexuality.
